An open dance jam with live music, bringing dancers, movers and musicians together for an afternoon of improvisation and exploration.
An open dance jam with live music where dancers, movers and musicians can explore, improvise and create together. Since it’s around dinner time, bring some snack to share, we will make a little potluck!
Whether you’re an experienced dancer or just curious to see where movement can take you, you’re welcome here.
We’ll have electronic musicians playing live to get things started, but the music doesn’t belong only to them. Dancers and movers are welcome to join the conversation through rhythm, voice, body percussion, instruments, movement or whatever other creative impulses arise. The idea is not to separate musicians from dancers, but to co-create the experience together.
You might:
- dance on your own
- explore contact improvisation
- move between solo and shared movement
- connect with other dancers and musicians
- contribute rhythm, sound or music
- sit, listen and let the music move through you
There is no single «right» way to participate.
Tuning in together
We’ll begin with a one-hour guided warmup designed to help us arrive in our bodies, tune into ourselves and ease into the space together. For those interested in dancing with others, we’ll also explore some simple tools and a shared vocabulary that can help us connect during the jam.
What we do want to create is a welcoming, respectful and non-judgmental space where people can explore, play, experiment and be themselves.

About the facilitators

Oscar & Friends — Oscar will invite a selection of electronic musicians to this jam, to explore more synthetic tones and feel them inform the movements. Somewhere between electronica, beats, techno, ambient, you can expect a wide palette of rhythmic and timbral ideas coming from modular synthesizers, in dialogue with the dancers and other musicians.
Agnieszka Pietruczuk
Agnieszka lives and dances in Brussels. She began dancing at the age of five, first training in ballet and later moving into contemporary dance. She completed a two-year contemporary dance instructor programme and holds a diploma certified by the Polish Ministry of Culture.
Her practice has since expanded through somatic approaches to movement, Body-Mind Centering, capoeira and forró, as well as different forms of bodywork. She has trained extensively in Thai Yoga Massage and Kobido, bringing hands-on work and a deeper exploration of anatomy, touch and body awareness into her practice.
Across dance, movement and bodywork, she is interested in how we organise the body, relate to gravity and support, and find more possibilities for moving with awareness and ease.

Gaspar Galaz, a musician and capoeirista from Chile, the music director of this event 😉
